Teacher Training (SCITT)
The Wildern Partnership SCITT is an outstanding local provider, developed through years of collaboration with partnership schools (including Bishop's Waltham Junior), colleges and universities.
They offer a school based, collaborative, quality and cross phase training programme which is adapted to individual needs.
The full time one year training programme commences in September. Successful completion of your training with them will result in QTS, along with a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) at Masters level. The University of Chichester, who make the award of the PGCE, are involved in the development and moderation of the PGCE assignments and the Quality Assurance of our programme.
In addition to the academic support available, the partnership will support your health and wellbeing through; a resilience training package; professional coaching; a high level of pastoral care; subsidised gym membership and selected free gym opportunities on training days.

“Trainees and NQTs demonstrate high-quality skills in planning appropriate, interesting and well-structured lessons which motivate pupils to learn. They use assessment effectively to identify what pupils have learned in each lesson and use that information well to adapt the planning for future lessons. They recognise their responsibility for ensuring that pupils make progress and consistently adjust their teaching well to take account of pupils’ different starting points and the ways in which they learn best.” Ofsted, November 2016
