Week Beginning 18th May

Here are the details of your home learning tasks for the week.  It would be great if you could do some of these and let us know what you've done.

You might want to follow this timetable to organise yourselves this week, but this is only a guide - you may choose to organise your working in another way.  There is no expectation that you will complete all this work, but it is all available to you to help with your learning.

In addition to the above, Mrs Mars has set up a Times Table rockstar battle for the week.  It will go live at 9:00 on Monday, and come to an end at 3:15 on Friday.

In addition to the above, here are a few suggestions for some other things you might like to do this week.

Invent A Game

National Elmer Day!

Can you invent a game that can be used with household objects? You might already have done this to keep you and your family entertained!

See the file in the Google Drive for ideas.

Saturday 23rd May is National Elmer Day!

Elmer probably reminds you of some of the first books you read and he is such a colourful character. Why not spread some of his positivity by completing one (or more!) of the Elmer Day activities?

See the separate pack of activities in the Google Drive to choose from.

You could also visit the dedicated website.

Art from Mrs Milne

Science from Mrs Arnold

We really enjoyed seeing your Picasso-inspired portraits from earlier this term – so quirky and characterful!  Today on the school blog, Mrs Milne introduces another Great Artist: Spanish painter and ceramicist Joan Miro.  Again, this gives an opportunity to create some really bright and colourful art to brighten up your home with few materials needed. Don’t forget to check out Monday's blog post to find out more.

Travelling Water. Have a go at making water travel from one cup to another.

See the BWJS blog on Tuesday for more instructions!
