|National Children’s Art Week||Make a ‘junk’ submarine|
This week is National Children’s Art Week and the theme is The Natural World.
Can you find a piece of artwork on the theme of The Natural World? It could be a photograph, painting, sculpture, collage….
Think about these questions:
What do you see?
What was your first impression when you saw this artwork?
What interests you about the artwork?
Can you list 5 words to describe the artwork?
A submarine is a watercraft that can operate under the water for long periods of time.
This activity is about designing and making your own submarine using materials you can find around your home or garden.
See separate sheet in the Google Drive for ideas and inspiration.
Art from Mrs Milne
Hands up if you’ve been dreaming of ‘escaping’ somewhere different during this lockdown? This week, Mrs Milne has a fun art activity suggestion that encourages you to express an imagined or favourite place with a through-the-keyhole painting or drawing. Feel free to use the attached template for this activity, or otherwise draw your own keyhole. Grown-ups might enjoy having a go at this one too (a bit of much-needed mindfulness, perhaps!)
