School Lunches

Lunch Arrangements at BWJS

At Bishop's Waltham Junior School, we understand the importance of a nutritious and enjoyable lunchtime experience. Our school lunches are cooked on-site and served in our spacious school hall, providing a welcoming environment for our pupils.

Meal Variety

We offer a diverse range of meal options to cater to different preferences and dietary requirements. Pupils can choose from the following:

  • Meat Option: A hearty meal featuring a selection of meat-based dishes.
  • Vegetarian Option: Nutritious and delicious vegetarian choices for those who prefer plant-based meals.
  • Jacket Potato/Sandwich Option: A flexible option that includes jacket potatoes or sandwiches, perfect for those with specific taste preferences.

Alternatively, if your child prefers to bring their own packed lunch from home, we provide designated areas for lunchtime enjoyment. During the warmer months, pupils have the option to enjoy their packed lunches outdoors. Additionally, our school canteen offers picnic lunches as an alternative to hot meals, ensuring that all pupils have a variety of lunch choices throughout the year.

Catering Services

Our school's catering services are provided by Hampshire County Council Catering Educational Catering. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our pupils while ensuring a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

We believe that a balanced meal is essential for a productive school day, and our lunch arrangements are designed to provide pupils with healthy options that support their growth and development.

At Bishop's Waltham Junior School, we value the well-being of our pupils, and our lunch arrangements reflect our commitment to providing nutritious and delicious meals that contribute to their overall educational experience.
